Just like The Little Train Engine that Could, Canadian Food for Children, (CFFC), is "The Little Canadian Charity That Could." When the news is mostly about corruption and moral decadence, Canadian Food for Children continues its work of charity, with faith in God and the idea the little person can make a big difference for the better. We're called to help our brothers and sisters in need. We're called to build the common good.
Today we got the CFFC's latest newsletter. They did it again for another year. The charity reports they shipped 256 containers of food, clothing and other necessities of life around the globe. In total, there were 256 large containers sent to different nations.
Here's the list of countries and the number of shipments sent: Angola 40, Cameroon 1, El Salvador 85, Ghana 1, Honduras 11, Jamaica 8, Liberia 2, Malawi 1, Peru 6, Sierra Leone 98, Tanzania 2, and Zambia 1. The weight of all the shipments was 4,014,082 kilograms 4,014 metric tonnes.
