Bishop Blocks Electronic Music Concerts in Church: On July 23, Bishop Alexandre de Bucy of Agen, southwestern France, barred an electronic music festival from using the Saint-Robert Church for concerts scheduled on August 7–9. The church is municipally owned under French law, but the bishop has authority over its religious use and the French law forbids a secular use of state-owned churches. Organizers had reportedly failed—for the fourth consecutive year—to seek permission from either the parish or the Diocese of Agen. Parish priest Rev. Gilles N'Goran condemned the planned concerts as a "profanation."

Nuncio Gänswein Praises Leo XIV and Trump - Attacks Putin

Archbishop Georg Gänswein, currently Nuncio to the Baltic States, praised Pope Leo XIV and U.S. President Donald Trump while attacking Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with DomRadio.de on July 22.
Monsignor Gänswein said Pope Leo XIV has brought "a new sense of relief" to the Church.
"Peace is the key word," he believes. "From his very first address, Pope Leo placed the peace of the Risen Christ at the center of his message."
According to the nuncio, the Pope's emphasis on peace has [allegedly] transformed the atmosphere. "It has turned headwinds into tailwinds. Whether that wind will change again remains impossible to predict."
Bond with Pope Benedict XVI
Reflecting on his years alongside Benedict XVI, Archbishop Gänswein said their relationship developed from a professional one into a close personal friendship.
"We not only worked together but also lived under one roof and spent every day together," he recalled. "During the ten years after his resignation, our relationship …níos mó

Cuba: A Necessary Accusation, a Serious Omission

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has deservedly earned admiration for his denunciations against the communist dictatorship of Cuba.
In that sense stands out a recent 100-page report on the subversion for almost seven decades against the Americas, in particular, against the United States.
Given the magnitude of the denunciation it is difficult to understand the silence surrounding the collaboration of prominent figures in the Catholic Church with Cuban communism, by action or omission, for decades (cf. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, The Vatican policy of detente toward the communist governments. For the TFP: to withdraw? or to resist? ; former political prisoner Armando Valladares, dozens of articles on the subject, including trips to Cuba with meetings with the bloodthirsty dictator; Cubanos Desterrados, book Hasta Cuándo - Dos décadas de colaboración comuno-católica en la isla-cárcel del Caribe / Until When - Two decades of communist-catholic collaboration in the Caribbean island-prison).

German Balloon Mass with Female Dialogue Homily: On 22 July, a Eucharist in Munich to celebrate the Feast of St Mary Magdalene featured a woman performing a liturgical dance in a red dress. Another woman wearing an alb and a stole-like liturgical scarf delivered a dialogue homily with Auxiliary Bishop Wolfgang Bischof and stood near the altar during the Eucharist. Red balloons were also used during the celebration.

Diese Woche hat eine Frau eine Dialog-Predigt mit Weihbischof Wolfgang Bischof (München) gehalten. Der liturgische Tanz im Video stammt aus dieser Messe. Anlass war das Fest der Maria Magdalena.

"A woman left to suffer alone."
.
While this is the most common situation, please never overlook the fact that men's reproductive rights are completely and fully abrogated and usurped by women and by law. A woman may kill a man's son or daughter with complete impunity, no recourse for the father, and typically no sympathy or support for the father.

Locally, a former SSPX priest named William T. Welsh, who at least until recently had been living in the south suburbs, was the subject of an unusual federal court case in Chicago that began in 2020, as the government of Australia sought to have him extradited to face child sex charges.
An American, Welsh once ministered in Australia for SSPX, and authorities there charged him with 11 counts of indecent assault and two counts of gross indecency with a person under 16 years, court records show.
“Welsh was ordained a Catholic priest on 1 December 1985,” court records show. “In 1985 he was assigned as a collaborator in Hampton, Australia, until August 1986. After spending some time in different locations, Welsh was assigned as a prior in Hampton from January 1986 until July 1993.”
While in that suburb of Melbourne, he repeatedly sexually assaulted a female parishioner when she was between 12 and 15 years old, including at times on the church property, authorities allege.

Secrecy over sex abuse permeates traditionalist Catholic group whose leaders were excommunicated by Pope Leo - Chicago Sun-Times

A “fraternity” of priests whose leaders recently were excommunicated by Pope Leo XIV — and that maintains a presence in the Chicago area with a church in Oak Park and a priory on the Northwest Side — fashions itself as an authentic practitioner of Catholicism. But the Society of St. Pius X, perhaps known best for embracing the old Latin mass and other practices and beliefs often described as traditionalist or conservative, shares an unfortunate characteristic with many of the more mainstream Catholic religious orders: a history of accusations of child sexual abuse. While some of the troubles are known publicly — including in France, where a priest from the society was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2023 for sexual misconduct against 27 minors — it’s unclear how widespread they’ve been within the international organization, often referred to as SSPX. The group’s website decries the scourge of sexual abuse, saying it’s “concerned with the safety of all those who are members and guests …

Former Catholic Seminary to Become Muslim Boarding School

The former Catholic seminary and boarding school in Bay Shore, New York, is set to become a Muslim boarding school, reports LiBn.com on July 15. The United American Muslim Association (UAMA) purchased the building for $5.2 million.
The 6,500-square-metre centre, founded in 1926 by the Montfort Missionaries, was used to train priests before later serving as a retreat house.
Pending approval of a zoning change, the new owners intend to establish an Islamic boarding school for up to 120 boys.
According to its website, UAMA aims to provide an education in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.
However, local residents have organised opposition to the proposal, with many displaying 'NO Boarding School' signs throughout the neighbourhood.

Leo’s Synodal Train Wreck

But hey, nothing to see here, move right along. It is just the train wreck new “Catholicism” that Prevost demand you be in communion with. While effeminate Synodal prelates are making smug little dishonest videos on You Tube calling the Society of St. Pius X a “Protestant sect” and doing their best to lead the flock away from Catholicism, it would benefit those still caught in the deception that men like them represent the Catholic Church, to quickly cast an eye over some choice examples of the current Synodal decay taking place globally. A series of recent reports from around the Synodal world illustrates the absurdity of the Synodal heretics’ claims of being the Catholic Church founded by Christ. One widely circulated image showed Ecuadorian Jesuit “Fr.” Wilo Haro Rivas celebrating Mass outdoors during what was described as a spiritual retreat. The “priest” appeared seated cross-legged on a mat, dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt with only a green stole, while the sacred vessels rested …

Leo's Synodal Train Wreck. ~ The health of the Church prior to Vat.11 was clearly illustrated by the record number of Church Marriages, Baptisms, Confirmations, Vocations, as well as high attendance of Sunday Mass and Holy Days of obligation. ~ All that quickly eroded following the closure of Vat.11. ~ The subsequent 'train wreck' of the so-called 'Renewal' of the Church which was also couched with the enthusiastic embracement of 'The Holy Spirit' at work, a notion first muted by Pope John XX111, was a clear example of stupidity, suggesting that for two thousand years, 'The Holy Spirit' had been asleep. ~ With the demise of Pope John XX111, followed by the election of Pope Paul V1, we witnessed the dismantling of the Holy Mass, which became the impetuous, seemingly, for the never ending changes to all things traditional. ~ Personally speaking, this writer will continue to hold fast to that which the Apostles taught and was ratified by subsequent early Church councils.

Survey: Brazilian Catholic Youth Seek Stronger Doctrine, Reverent Liturgy

Young Catholics in Brazil are expressing a desire for deeper faith formation, greater emphasis on holiness, and well-celebrated liturgy, while also voicing frustration with what they see as an excessive focus on sociopolitical issues in the Church, according to a national survey presented to the Brazilian Bishops' Conference (CNBB).
The 2025 survey, conducted by the CNBB's Episcopal Commission for Youth with academic partners, gathered responses from more than 11,000 Catholics aged 12 to 29 across Brazil. It used a voluntary online questionnaire rather than a representative random sample.
According to the partial results (document below), holiness and the Christian faith were the most frequently cited topics of interest among respondents.
Many also expressed a desire for stronger formation in Catholic teaching, greater emphasis on Scripture and the Eucharist, and well-celebrated liturgy.
Asked what makes participation in the Church more difficult, respondents most often pointed to a lack …níos mó

Why God Sometimes Allows Spiritual Darkness
During times of spiritual difficulty and purification, it may feel like God has abandoned us, but this is not the case. God allows us to experience these feelings to purify us of selfishness and strengthen our virtues. Like Mother Teresa, we should focus on loving and serving others, even when we don’t feel God’s presence, because He is always with us, guiding us towards sainthood.
The journey to holiness involves four stages: the active and passive nights of the senses, and the active and passive nights of the spirit. While we can actively pursue virtues like humility, true perfection requires God’s transformative work through trials and darkness. These experiences, though painful, are ultimately rewards that purify us and deepen our charity, the foundation of all virtues.

Ricardo Yesquén, one of the priests from Chiclayo accused of abuse before Prevost, dies without having been investigated.

The priest Ricardo Yesquén Paiva, aged 59, one of the two clerics of the Diocese of Chiclayo accused of abusing minors in the case involving Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, since his time as bishop of that diocese, has died in Ferreñafe, Peru. Yesquén dies without any canonical or civil investigation having been opened against him in the six years since the first complaint was filed with Prevost himself in 2020. The news of his death was reported this Tuesday by local media in Ferreñafe, the town where diocesan records listed him as parochial vicar of the parish of Santa Lucía. The Diocese of Chiclayo has not issued an official statement so far.
