On 11 February, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Martin Laliberté as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil. The current bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil, Monsignor Claude Hamelin, was appointed in 2019 and will turn 75 on 10 July.
