Nuncio Negotiates Exit of Italian Bishop, 64, After Vatican Visitation

Bishop Guido Gallese, 64, of Alessandria, Piedmont, is reportedly set to be removed from his diocese.
LoSpiffero.com wrote on August 23 that the Apostolic Nuncio to Italy, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, has been handling negotiations over Gallese’s exit following an Apostolic Visitation conducted by Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello earlier this year.
Bishop Gallese, who is described as reluctant to leave, had sought a transfer to another diocese, but the proposal was rejected.
Archbishop Peña Parra, who previously served as the Substitute for General Affairs in the Vatican Secretariat of State, offered the bishop several possible “ways out.”
The solution now under discussion would see Bishop Gallese become ecclesiastical assistant to the Collegamento Nazionale Santuari, Italy’s national network of Catholic shrines.
Ansa.it reported that the Apostolic Visitation focused on the administration and finances of the diocese amid controversy over the bishop’s lifestyle. Considerable media attention …Bontsi

Maggie Haberman has joined Errol to discuss her new book.
Maggie Haberman is a White House correspondent for The New York Times. A New York City native, she is the author of Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America and the co-author, with Jonathan Swan, of a new book, Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, which lays out the first year of President Trump’s second presidency. Haberman joined Errol to discuss her new book. She explained how she and Swan began the project in 2023 as a “last act” Trump story but instead witnessed a dramatic shift that they came to see as a form of domestic “regime change, “ marked by court-style politics, expanded executive power and the erosion of independence at the Department of Justice. Haberman also described an administration divided into fiefdoms controlled by powerful figures, including Stephen Miller, Elon Musk through DOGE and USAID and others.

German Bishop: Perceived Absence of God Expands Homosexual Practices: “Conservative” Bishop Stefan Oster of Passau said in his Assumption homily that the lifestyles, sexual preferences and identities displayed at Christopher Street Day are difficult to reconcile with the Christian view of humanity: “The perceived absence of God has massively expanded the scope of what is possible within the entire context surrounding sex and gender.” Oster asked: “Is the writer Dostoevsky ultimately right when he says, ‘If God does not exist, then everything is permitted’?”

Videozitat:

FSSPX to Continue Lourdes Pilgrimage Despite Bishop’s Restrictions

The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX) has announced that it will continue its annual pilgrimage to Lourdes.
Following the episcopal consecrations on July 1 in Ecône, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes withdrew permission for the SSPX to celebrate public Masses, administer sacraments, or organize public prayers at Lourdes.
In an August 22 statement, Fr. Gonzague Peignot, superior of the FSSPX in France, announced that the Fraternity intends to continue coming to Lourdes every year, “Our Lady does not deserve to be abandoned despite the obstacles,” he said.
The FSSPX expressed 'sorrow and incomprehension', questioning the bishop's decision and pointing to the interreligious Christian-Muslim pilgrimage that was welcomed at the sanctuary in October 2025.
For now, the FSSPX faithful intend to remain present at Lourdes, but their pilgrimage will no longer be able to take the same public form as in previous years.

Claimed Eucharistic Miracle Under Investigation in Guatemala

Church authorities are examining a possible Eucharistic miracle after a Host placed in water reportedly failed to dissolve and subsequently developed reddish stains that “could be blood”, the Cathedral Parish of El Niño Dios in Cuilapa, Guatemala, has announced on August 22. The parish is the cathedral of the Diocese of Santa Rosa de Lima.
The incident began on July 30, during a Missionary Eucharistic Week. A priest was celebrating the Eucharist at a private school when he noticed that a teenage student, after receiving Holy Communion, was removing the Host from his mouth.
The priest intervened before the student could throw it to the ground.
Following the procedure used in such cases, the priest placed the Host in a glass of water in the chapel of the parish house so that it could dissolve.
When the chapel was cleaned the following Thursday, however, a parish worker found that the Host had not dissolved and noticed reddish stains which appeared as though they might be blood. A priest …Bontsi

Cardinal Vesco: Netanyahu Wants the Palestinian People to “Disappear”

During the Consistory, Leo XIV told the cardinals, “Support me, stand with me in this battle against war,” pro-homosexual Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algiers told IlMessaggero.it on August 23.
Questioning the “Just War”
Cardinal Vesco questioned the Christian concept of a just war, arguing that “for those who are fighting, their own war is always just.” While acknowledging a right to self-defense, he asked, “But up to what point?”
“In any case, war itself is not just. In the end, we no longer know where to draw the line.”
Israel and its “Settlements, Settlements, Settlements”
On Gaza, CardinalVesco recalled living in Jerusalem for two years and visiting Gaza several times during the Intifada: “I experienced the checkpoints and saw with my own eyes the humiliation they represented. Today it is much worse.”
Even then, he said, it was difficult to believe in a two-state solution because the Israeli authorities did not want one: “Netanyahu has not wanted it for more than twenty years.”

There is no worldly solution for the Middle East crisis. There will only be peace when the Jews acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Then there will be peace.

On 23 August, at Holy Family Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, a woman knelt at the Communion rail during Communion. Just as the priest was about to give her Communion, she stood and handed him a flower. Despite Communion being distributed by intinction, she grabbed the Host and then took the chalice used for intinction, drank from it, and threw it onto the floor before leaving the church with an escort. The priest immediately purified the area where the Precious Blood had been spilled.

A disturbing incident occurred during Sunday Mass at Holy Family Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, where a woman disrupted Communion by grabbing and dropping the vessel used for intinction, spilling some of the Precious Blood.

The 5 Sexual Sins That No One Confesses! God’s Mercy Still Awaits You | Fr. Chad Ripperger

Video >>youtube.com/watch?v=oMxj0zbioIw
This powerful and deeply eye-opening message titled “The 5 Sexual Sins That No One Confesses! God’s Mercy Still Awaits You” by Fr. Chad Ripperger, we are invited into a serious spiritual reflection on sin, conscience, and the infinite mercy of God. This video uncovers hidden struggles that many people carry in silence for years—sins that are often never spoken about in confession due to shame, fear, or misunderstanding. Through clear Catholic teaching and pastoral insight, this message reminds us that no matter how heavy the burden of the past may feel, God’s mercy is always greater than any sin. The sacrament of reconciliation is not about condemnation, but about healing, restoration, and freedom. This video is especially important for those who feel distant from God or unsure about returning to confession after many years. If you have ever felt trapped by guilt, confused about what is truly a mortal sin, or afraid that your past cannot be forgiven …Bontsi

Accursed he may be, but he also remains the Pope. A Pope has a specific role. It is not social policy or environmental propaganda. It is not "bringing the church into the modern age" not listening. It is very specifically to (Pastor Aeturnus Chapter 4, #6) "by [the Holy Spirit's] assistance, [the Pope] might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles." Everything else which comes from the Pope is to be treated as outside of their respective remits and protected neither by infalability nor the authority of the office.

The Fifth Latter of St. Francis of Paola ~ 'May our blessed Lord Jesus Christ reign! Gaudeamus omnes; let us all rejoice'

Fifth Letter .
[The original of the following letter is allegedly preserved in the city of Montalto in Calabria, Kingdom of Naples, and has been copied by John Baptist Francesco, a public notary:]
My Lord and Brother in Jesus Christ our Lord, — May his Divine Majesty reign in every place, namely, in heaven, upon earth, and even in hell. How spiritually blind are those persons who, having no thought about the things of God, fix their end in earthly objects! Wretched men! by far worse than the very beasts which are guided by their senses, because they cannot have reason; but when men abandon the use of their reason, they become brutalized. Hence they shall ever be in confusion. Let, therefore, the princes of this world be prepared for the greatest scourges to fall upon them. But from whom? First from heretics and infidels, then from the holy and most faithful Cruciferi elected by the Most High, who, not succeeding in converting heretics with science, shall have to make a vigorous use of …Bontsi
